Connecting Tiller to Zapier

Tiller now integrates with Zapier, allowing you to connect your meeting insights and recordings with thousands of apps. This powerful integration enables you to automate workflows based on your meeting data, create custom notifications, and sync important information with your preferred tools.

Important Privacy Note

Only calls that are shared with the entire company (using the "company" sharing setting) will be accessible through the Zapier integration. Private calls or calls with limited sharing settings will never be exposed through this integration.

Setup Instructions

For Administrators
Only Tiller Administrators can create and manage Zapier API Keys

  1. Generate an API Key:

    • Navigate to Settings → Apps

    • Find the Zapier card and click "Connect"

    • In the modal that appears, click "Generate New Key"

    • Copy the generated API key (you'll need it when setting up Zapier)

  2. Accept the Zapier Invitation:

    • Click the "Accept Zapier Invitation" button in the Zapier modal

    • This will take you to Zapier's platform to begin setting up the integration

  3. Managing API Keys:

    • You can generate multiple API keys if needed

    • View when keys were created and last used

    • Revoke keys that are no longer needed

    • Access the audit trail to monitor integration activity

For All Users

  1. Setting Up Zaps:

    • Log into your Zapier account

    • Create a new Zap

    • Search for and select "Tiller" as your trigger app

    • When prompted, enter the API key provided by your administrator

    • Choose from available triggers:

      • "New Recording Available"

      • "Meeting Completed"

  2. Available Data for Automation:

    • Meeting details (name, start/end times)

    • Attendee information

    • CRM notes generated from the meeting

    • Recording status and links

Use Case Examples:

  • Send new meeting summaries to Slack channels

  • Create tasks in project management tools based on meeting action items

  • Update CRM records with meeting notes and outcomes

  • Log meeting details in spreadsheets for reporting

  • Send notifications when specific types of calls are completed

Security and Permissions:

  • Only company administrators can generate and manage API keys

  • The integration only accesses calls that have company-wide sharing enabled

  • All API usage is logged in a detailed audit trail

  • API keys can be revoked at any time

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Zapier integration:

  1. Check API Key Status: Ensure your API key is active and hasn't been revoked

  2. Verify Call Sharing Settings: Confirm that calls you want to automate have company-wide sharing enabled

  3. Review Audit Logs: Administrators can check the audit trail for error messages

  4. Contact Support: If issues persist, contact Tiller support for assistance
